In 2017, I followed my obsession for riding dirt bikes, rock crawling, desert racing, overlanding, and tactical ground mobility by creating the Richey Mobility Company, aka RMC Defense Co, in the place where I grew up; Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Lake Havasu is centrally located on the Western edge of Arizona, along the Colorado River, in the heart of the Mohave Desert. The terrain is rocky, technical, and down right brutal on equipment; however if the terrain isn't tough enough then the weather is even tougher with summers reaching 128°F and cold windy winters below freezing. Having grown up in this environment I had no other choice but to learn how to ride smart, plan ahead, and learn the hard way off-roading through pain and experiences. After graduating high school in 1999 I attended the University of Arizona to pursue the trauma medical field, however on the morning of September 11, 2001 everything changed. America was attacked and the United States entered the Global War on Terrorism. Shortly after the attacks on 9/11 Me and my good buddy decided to drop out of College and join the Navy.  After finally getting a clean bill of health and eye surgery I joined the Navy in 2004, graduated BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL Training) & SQT in 2005,  attended SOCM 18D (Special Operations Combat Medic School), then checked into my SEAL Team.  During my time in the Teams I gravitated towards the Tactical Ground Mobility side of Naval Special Warfare and found a passion for everything Operators needed to have mission success on Land. After 9 years of service, a couple good deployments, a ton of experience, and a few injuries I decided to get out of the Teams and pursue my next challenge in life within the civilian business world. After a few years of successes and failures with other businesses I shifted my  focus on providing a better TGM Solution to the SOCOM Community and decided to put together team of High Caliber Professional Offroad Racers, Mechanics, & Special Operation Instructors to help launch RMC Defense Co into the US Dept. of Defense Arena.

 

      Since then we've had one goal in mind; to provide the highest quality of off-road training to operators, with the best team of off-road instructors, in the most brutal environment possible. To this date we have exceeded that goal and continue to provide arguably some of the best SOCOM Tactical Ground Mobility training courses in the US, with the highest caliber of Instructors, in the toughest terrain North America has to offer. All of our courses have been customized to fit the requirement for the SOCOM Operators mission by safely teaching operators to gain a foundation and operational TGM Skillset. If operators already have prior TGM Traing then we can bring theirs skills and knowledge up to to speed with current tactics and platforms.  Our staff specializes in training operators how to Operate (ride/drive), Troubleshoot & Fix, Recovery, and Navigate with all of these platforms: ebike & gas dirt bikes, atv's, utv's, backcounty snowmobiles, Toyota Hiluxs, HMMWV's & Flyers, JLTV's and MATV's. Our team of instructors have over 55+ years and 100,000+ miles of Special Operation Tactical Ground Mobility instruction to include dozens of real world TGM Combat Operations, 14 BAJA 1000 Overall Championships, ISDE 6 Day Eduro Championships, multiple AMA Motocross & Supercross Championships, thousands of miles of North American overland expeditions, and much more.​
